Are You Prepared for After the Wedding?
Community Marriage Builders (CMB) will be hosting two Marriage Insurance events this year. These marriage preparation workshops will be held on two separate dates and in two different locations. The first being held at The Discovery Lodge in Burdette Park (directions) on February 16th and the Second will be at the Sweetwater Event Center on April 6th. Both events will be at NO COST and will include lunch as well as a $100 incentive per couple upon completion. Both workshops will be held from 10am to 6pm.
Marriage Insurance is the perfect way to prepare for your life after the wedding. So much time and money is spent on making the wedding day just right but how much is spent on making the relationship just right? This Make it Last workshop will give you the tools you need to make your marriage last as well as a little added funds to help with your special day.
I enjoyed the marriage insurance class on Feb. 16th. It was very informational. My only complaint is that you entice couples to complete the course with promises of $100 per couple. A Tracy Zellar 20% off card is not cash for a wedding. I learned a lot from the course but I also plan to complete premarital counseling with our preacher. A lot of the information was redundant. I just don’t think it’s honest to tell couples you will give them $100 for completing the course. It’s misleading.

We appreciate the feedback. Please be patient with us as we have to process the paperwork in order to make sure that participants have indeed completed the program and then we will send checks out to those that have completed. The Tracy Zeller card is simply an added bonus that we offered as an additional gift. Please note that the incentive is $50 per person to equal $100 per couple.

Has the road been free of bumps? No. But I have heard it said that if the mountain were as smooth as glass, you wouldn’t be able to climb it. Our marriage is not about determination and resolve to make it work; its about the freedom to love one another and let the other be who they are with full faith and confidence that what holds us together is not our resolve, but trust and assurance in Jesus Christ that He is able to sustain us through any storm that might come our way.
